Job Description
Isar Aerospace is seeking an Avionics Technician to contribute to various avionics manufacturing and testing tasks for their Spectrum micro launcher. The technician will be responsible for building and testing harnesses, assembling and testing avionics units, and supporting the integration of these components onto engines and the launch vehicle. They will also assist with functional and environmental tests, document tasks using MES/PLM, and suggest improvements to engineering designs.Role involves:
  • Building and testing harnesses for Spectrum and testing applications
  • Assembling and testing avionics units for Spectrum development
  • Supporting the integration of harnesses and units onto engines and the launch vehicle
  • Assisting with functional and environmental tests on avionics units
  • Documenting manufacturing and testing tasks using MES/PLM
  • Challenging and suggesting improvements to engineering designs
  • Improving the efficiency of existing processes and implementing new ones
  • Supporting the rest of Production and Avionics in their daily tasks
  • Procuring tools and maintaining the material stock for harnessing and unit assemblies
  • Supporting the organization of the electronic lab
Requirements:
  • Technical training degree/apprenticeship in relevant fields (e.g., Fluggeräteelektroniker, Elektroniker, or EASA certified)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in wiring harnesses and electronic units production and assembly
  • Practical knowledge with general electrical/electronic equipment
  • Practical experience with tools for cutting, crimping, and positioning wires (aerospace industry preferred)
  • Practical experience in soldering PCBs, wires, and connectors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other common software
  • Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
