Job Description
Isar Aerospace is seeking a skilled Aviation Technician to join their team in Ottobrunn, Bavaria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and testing cable harnesses, assembling and testing avionics units, and supporting the integration of these components into the Spectrum launcher's engines and rocket. This role involves conducting functional and environmental tests, documenting manufacturing and testing tasks, and suggesting improvements to technical designs. The Aviation Technician will also contribute to process efficiency, procure tools, maintain material inventory, and assist in organizing the electronics lab.
Responsibilities include: - Creating and testing cable harnesses for the Micro Launcher Spectrum.
- Assembling and testing avionics units for the Spectrum Launcher's development.
- Supporting the integration of cable harnesses and units into engines and the rocket.
- Assisting with functional and environmental tests on avionics units.
- Documenting manufacturing and test tasks.
- Suggesting improvements to technical designs.
Requirements: - Completed technical training in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of practical experience in cable harness and electronic assembly manufacturing.
- Practical knowledge of general electrical/electronic equipment.
- Experience with tools for cutting, crimping, and positioning wires.
- Experience in soldering PCBs, wires, and connectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other common software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, German language skills are an advantage.
