Associate Scientist - China

Job Description

Alamar Biosciences is seeking an Associate Scientist to join their R&D team in Hangzhou, China. This role focuses on augmenting the company's novel biomarker detection and quantitation capabilities, contributing to the development of a high-throughput proteomics platform aimed at early disease detection.

The Associate Scientist will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to multiple projects and playing a key role in a rapidly growing company.

Role Involves:

• Supporting procurement activities by working closely with vendors and the internal team.
• Designing, optimizing, and executing experiments for new biomarker detection.
• Maintaining reagent libraries and accurate records of work performed.
• Utilizing records to calculate, graph, and compile data.
• Examining the impacts of multiple variables on assay performance and performing troubleshooting.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for product and process improvement.
• Managing and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience running and developing immunoassays, such as ELISA.
• Experience generating, analyzing, and reviewing assay data.
• Attention to detail, responsibility, conscientiousness, and accountability.
• Data management skills are highly beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to work within internal team and vendors.
• Self-motivation with a positive “can do” attitude and ability to manage complex projects.
