Job Description
Forge Health is seeking a temporary Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their Revenue Cycle team. This role involves closely examining denied claims and identifying inaccuracies for facilities across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. This is a temporary position for 4-6 weeks. The role is remote with flexible hours, up to 40 hours per week.
Role Involves:
- Following up on outstanding claims with insurance carriers via phone and web portals.
- Resolving payment variances and achieving timely reimbursement.
- Examining denied claims to determine reasons and correct denials for reprocessing.
- Writing and submitting appeals to insurance carriers to resolve denials.
- Identifying, trending, and addressing root causes of denials.
- Maintaining understanding of federal and state regulations and payer requirements.
- Ensuring strict confidentiality of client information.
- Drafting and editing documents/communications.
- Assisting clinical staff in providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in an Accounts Receivable role, preferably in healthcare.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Detail-oriented with analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to keep confidential medical records.
- Ability to work well individually and in groups with minimal supervision.
