Job Description
Brooklinen is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in Dumbo, Brooklyn. This role reports to the Controller and involves managing vendor spend across key AP systems, establishing process documentation, and implementing controls. The Accounts Payable Manager will collaborate with the FP&A function and the broader business to assist with monthly re-forecasting.This role involves:
  • Overseeing and managing accounts payable functions, vendor management, and expense coding.
  • Leading process improvements and maintaining SOPs.
  • Managing day-to-day AP performance, including invoice processing and one-time payments.
  • Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
  • Managing inventory and supplier payments in NetSuite.
  • Managing one direct report.
Brooklinen is looking for someone who brings:
  • 5+ years of AP experience.
  • Prior experience in accounting and/or the e-commerce/retail industry.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field of study.
  • Familiarity with systems including Tipalti, BILL and NetSuite.
  • Proven track record of improving processes and systems and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and curious mindset.
