Job Description
Ernest is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Office Manager to lead the Customer Service and Merchandising (Purchasing) departments. The ideal candidate will have experience managing purchasing operations and overseeing customer service functions, embodying the Ernest culture with energy, clarity, and care.Responsibilities:
  • Manage, mentor, and grow purchasing and customer service teams.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring operational goals are met.
  • Equip teams with the tools, training, and support needed to succeed.
  • Align customer needs with internal policies and supplier capabilities.
  • Implement strategies that optimize service levels, inventory management, and cost controls.
  • Develop annual business plans, supporting team initiatives and long-term growth objectives.
  • Partner with sales leadership and other departments to address challenges and uncover new opportunities.
  • Lead by example, amplifying company values and supporting team member success.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, with at least 2 years managing a purchasing team.
  • Experience managing or working closely with customer service teams.
  • Proven ability to develop people, build team cohesion, and foster a healthy work culture.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP or advanced ERP understanding preferred.
  • A growth mindset with the ability to implement change and drive results.
