Job Description
Accela is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to join its Cloud Engineering & Operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and scalability of Accela's SaaS offerings. The SRE will apply software engineering principles to system reliability, focusing on automation, scale, and efficiency. They will collaborate with various teams, contribute to software delivery, and play a key role in platform modernization and containerization efforts.
Role Involves:
- Leading and executing platform modernization projects.
- Driving containerization of the Accela platform using Kubernetes.
- Improving system reliability and scalability through automation.
- Ensuring the availability, performance, and security of SaaS cloud services.
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Troubleshooting production incidents and implementing corrective actions.
- Designing and maintaining observability dashboards and key performance metrics.
- Collaborating cross-functionally in a remote environment.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in software engineering or production systems engineering.
- Proven leadership in platform modernization and containerized architecture.
- Deep experience with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
- Strong command of Git/GitHub and version control.
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex, distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
- Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Strong understanding of system internals and system administration.
- Familiarity with production monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance development.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
