Job Description
Critical Mass is seeking a Copy Editor to ensure the overall quality of creative content produced for its clients. The Copy Editor will be responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of brand guidelines and ensuring that all creative materials are copy-accurate, content-accurate, and adhere to brand standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The role involves:
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge and understanding of brand guidelines.
- Ensuring optimal quality of all communications developed for assigned clients, including grammar, spelling, consistency, and content accuracy.
- Communicating with project managers to manage time effectively.
- Partnering with writers to ensure the creative vision is achieved.
- Actively soliciting additional information from writers or the client team to ensure content/copy accuracy.
- Researching and validating content accuracy.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of copyediting experience.
- Content editing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of grammatical standards/styles.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to make good judgment calls.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision and direction.
