Staff Solutions Architect: New Logo - Seattle

Job Description

Temporal Technologies is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect to join their New Logo team in Seattle, WA. In this role, the Staff Solutions Architect will be the primary customer-facing technical leader, working directly with prospects and customers to guide them in understanding the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform and showcasing the technical advantages of their cloud service. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical communication skills, a deep understanding of distributed system technologies, and proficiency in building application prototypes using languages such as Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.What this role involves:

• Collaborating with prospects to determine the suitability of their applications for Temporal’s platform.
• Educating customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Positioning Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Fostering an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments.
• Partnering closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Managing and nurturing relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations.

Requirements:

• Reside within the Seattle Area.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP.
• Firm grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Ability to provide insightful advice on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
• Serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, assisting with scoping and sizing opportunities and offering guidance on technical fit and challenges.
