Tech Lead – Order Management Systems (OMS)

Job Description

Orium is seeking a Tech Lead - OMS to contribute to the architecture and delivery of composable commerce OMS and POS solutions. The Tech Lead will operate in a cloud-native, serverless environment and guide a cross-functional squad, ensuring scalability, performance, and seamless integrations. They will also mentor team members and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, implementing, and supporting high-quality solutions for OMS and POS platforms.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Managing support requests and incidents using a ticketing system.
• Partnering with designers, Product Managers, and clients to gather requirements.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and APIs.
• Acting as a subject matter expert in OMS and POS technologies.
• Conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Mentoring and coaching developers.

Requirements include:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with increasing responsibility in technical leadership.
• Expertise in backend development using Java, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing Fluent OMS is required.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and real-time data processing.
• Proficiency in API design and integration (REST, GraphQL).
• Experience with cloud-native services (e.g., AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB).
• Proven track record of mentoring developers and leading agile teams in enterprise environments.
