Job Description
GovOS is seeking a Senior Product Manager to manage the product journey for personas or product areas within the License & Registration and Tax & Compliance product suites. The ideal candidate will create a delightful user experience for customers and their constituents who use the solution to file taxes, apply for licenses, and make payments. This role offers the opportunity to define the future of a core GovOS solution.Role involves:
  • Understanding complex problems and proposing solutions.
  • Breaking down large projects into prioritized steps.
  • Drafting user stories and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Planning releases and conducting user acceptance testing.
  • Owning the roadmap and managing the solution.
  • Working with marketing to draft release notes.
  • Initiating user discovery and acceptance testing meetings.
  • Planning sprints and quarters with Engineering.
  • Monitoring and analyzing progress, escalating risks.
  • Establishing and reporting on product metrics.
  • Anticipating user needs and suggesting preparations.
  • Understanding the government business license and tax industry.
  • Communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of software Product Management experience.
  • Experience building a system of record platform in a cloud environment.
  • Experience with APIs or microservice architecture.
  • Demonstrable ability to productize features for similar user needs.
  • Experience building a marketplace portal with 2-sided user interactions.
  • Experience with workflow steps and integrating inputs/outputs.
  • Proficiency using sprint planning and feature road mapping software like Jira.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • A strong system thinker who can deconstruct complex problems.
  • Ability to create wireframe sketches.
  • Ability to prioritize competing opportunities.
  • Natural ability to learn from, influence, and build relationships.
  • Ability to execute methodically.
