Senior Member of Technical Staff – Search & Recommendation

DevRev is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join their team in Bengaluru, India. DevRev's AgentOS is designed for SaaS companies, integrating support, product, and growth teams onto a unified platform. The ideal candidate will design and build search tools using technologies like Elasticsearch and develop recommendation systems based on user behavior. They will also build and maintain APIs and connectors to integrate search and recommendation functionalities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build search tools.
• Develop recommendation systems.
• Build and maintain APIs and connectors.
• Optimize data indexing and query performance.
• Architect and implement distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product, AI, and infrastructure teams.
• Lead the development of scalable search and recommendation systems.
• Lead ML and GenAI integrations into production.
• Drive agent platform capabilities.
• Oversee fine-tuning pipelines and model evaluation infrastructure.
• Establish technical direction and mentor engineers.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in backend, search, or ML infrastructure.
• Deep experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and distributed systems.
• Strong programming in Go, Python, or Java.
• Expertise in data pipelines, vector stores, and model-serving frameworks.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, LLM-based workflows, or agent systems.
• Proven experience building high-scale systems and driving technical leadership.
