Engineering Manager, AI SDK

Job Description

Vercel is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their AI SDK team. This role is pivotal in building the next generation of AI-powered developer tools. The Engineering Manager will collaborate with product designers, AI researchers, and engineers to enhance AI-driven developer experience tooling, helping teams ship faster with cutting-edge AI-assisted workflows.Role involves:

• Developing and enhancing AI-powered developer tools.
• Overseeing the architecture and implementation of scalable solutions.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with AI researchers and product teams.
• Ensuring an exceptional user experience through UI/UX design.
• Staying ahead of emerging trends in AI and developer tooling.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex issues.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with AI or developer tooling focus.
• 3+ years of Engineering Management experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with AI models and APIs (e.g., OpenAI).
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and serverless platforms, particularly within the Vercel ecosystem.
• Passion for developer experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
