Job Description
Author Health is seeking a Director, Financial Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide insightful financial analysis. This role is pivotal in maintaining robust financial systems, driving efficiency, and ensuring compliance. The Director will lead the development of financial reports and dashboards, manage revenue recognition, oversee general accounting functions, and play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. They will also manage payroll processes and work closely with external auditors.
Role involves:
- Maintaining and improving accounting policies and procedures.
- Overseeing training programs for expense reporting.
- Producing periodic financial reports.
- Managing revenue recognition processes.
- Overseeing general accounting functions.
- Producing annual budget and forecasts.
- Providing financial analysis.
- Leading the administration of third-party payroll provider services.
- Working with auditors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
- Ten years or more of related experience.
- Experience with a fast-paced, growing company.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Business Central (Dynamics365), Lookr preferred.
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Payroll.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred.
