Firmware Engineer (Exp. Bucket 3-5 Yrs)

Job Description

PhonePe Group is seeking a Firmware Engineer to contribute to the development of firmware solutions for its devices, including smart speakers and DQR devices. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware requirements, design, develop, and test firmware solutions, and optimize code for efficient resource utilization. The role involves staying updated with industry trends and documenting firmware designs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define firmware requirements.
• Design, develop, and test firmware solutions for smart speakers.
• Implement firmware features to support smart speakers and IoT devices.
• Optimize firmware code and algorithms for efficient resource utilization.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of firmware.
• Collaborate with the QA team to develop test plans.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
• Document firmware designs, specifications, and development processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java/C/C++.
• Experience with hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of hardware architectures, microcontrollers, and peripheral interfaces.
• Familiarity with wireless communication protocols.
• Experience with device drivers and firmware debugging techniques.
• Understanding of software development practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Passion for hardware, firmware development, and device integration.
