Job Description
Legend Biotech is seeking a Maintenance Specialist I to join their Facilities & Engineering team. This role is based in Raritan, NJ, and focuses on providing maintenance support and mechanical system operations for cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing. The Maintenance Specialist will collaborate with various Technical Operation functions to support personalized cell therapy production, ensuring safe and compliant manufacturing operations according to cGMP requirements. This position is crucial for the organization's build and ramp-up of clinical production and facility approval for commercial launch.
Role Involves:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, clean room HVAC, clean steam, cryogenic storage equipment, and process equipment.
- Performing minor upgrades and installations of facilities and systems.
- Conducting on-site equipment maintenance and critical utilities maintenance operations.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, and drawings.
- Utilizing good documentation practices (GDP) for all work performed on the CMMS system work orders.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biological/Biochemical Science/Bioengineering or a High School diploma with equivalent experience.
- Trade / Technical School Certification or Certification in Craft required.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management system.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and strong communication skills.
