Job Description
Workato is seeking an experienced Engagement Manager to join its Professional Services team. This role involves strategic thinking and customer impact, thriving in a collaborative environment. The Engagement Manager will lead the discovery, scoping, and contracting of services engagements, helping customers unlock the potential of Workato’s iPaaS and AI orchestration platform. They will collaborate with Sales, Technical Architects, and Customer Success teams to design tailored services proposals based on customer goals and the GEARS Framework. The Engagement Manager will also maintain close engagement with customers, building strong relationships and ensuring successful outcomes.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying services opportunities and generating services pipeline.
  • Driving services sales cycles alongside enterprise software sales.
  • Coaching and guiding internal teams on the services sales cycle.
  • Maintaining forecasting hygiene for professional services opportunities.
  • Understanding customer motivations, business drivers, and strategic goals.
  • Developing territory and account plans aligned with customer business goals.
  • Creating compelling visions and communicating transformative solutions via services proposals.
  • Writing statements of work (SOWs) and navigating legal reviews.
  • Conducting knowledge transfer from pre-sales to post-sales teams.
  • Maintaining client relationships and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Developing a deep understanding of Workato’s GEARS framework.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction goals are met or exceeded.
  • Evangelizing Workato and demonstrating its effectiveness for business automation.
  • Becoming a trusted advisor to customers and partners.
  • Contributing to the growth of the professional services department.
  • Enhancing delivery methodology, services practice, and industry POVs.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience selling professional services within a software company, consulting firm, or system integrator.
  • Experience writing statements of work (SOWs) and navigating enterprise legal processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain C-level relationships.
  • Experience fostering and growing accounts.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
