Senior Data Engineer

Job Description

Kunai is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its team and work on cutting-edge data-driven decision systems in the banking industry. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing back-end services for a massive credit card tech decisioning platform. They will work on customer acquisition experiences and back-end services that support the credit decisions that determine what products and lines can be assigned to new applicants to card products. The ideal candidate will have experience in Python and PySpark, as well as experience working in large data environments.

Responsibilities:

• Plan work, break down user stories, build features, deploy to production and support production services
• Work on customer acquisition experiences and back end services

Requirements:

• 4+ years of software development experience
• Experience in Python Development and PySpark
• 2+ years of experience working in large data Environments
• Experience with Snowflake or DataBricks
• Expertise with high availability & distributed systems
• Experience with data engineering principles and working experience with data-driven decisioning platforms
• Experience working with a variety of AWS services
• Experience with serverless architectures and Lambdas
