Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to deliver health IT solutions. The Expert Systems Engineer will be responsible for provisioning and managing AKS clusters, deploying containerized applications, and automating routine tasks. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Development team to improve code, mentor new team members, and assist management in tracking code quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Provision and manage AKS clusters.
• Monitor cluster health and performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications on AKS.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Maintain KPI for code development, deployment and process automation.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in developing code for Cloud infra, Azure experience is an added advantage.
• Experience in Desired state configuration and Kubernetes.
• Must have working knowledge in Ansible, PowerShell, DevOps, Helm, Bash or Python.
• Should have hands-on experience with AKS and Azure portal.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container registries.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing.
• Knowledge of Helm for package management and configuration.
• Must have working experience of DevOps tools, like GitHub or Azure DevOps.
