Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Marketing Development Representative (MDR) to join their team in Sydney, Australia. This role is a 10-month development initiative designed to teach the fundamentals of outbound sales and prospecting, with the potential for promotion to a Senior MDR/EDR position. The MDR will work closely with the Marketing team to support Account Executives in building pipeline and sourcing new business opportunities. Verkada is a leader in cloud-based B2B physical security, offering a range of integrated product lines.
Role Involves:
- Making a high volume of outbound calls daily to engage potential customers.
- Identifying prospective clients and generate new business opportunities.
- Qualifying leads and managing them through the sales pipeline.
- Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to develop strategies for achieving pipeline targets.
- Staying informed about industry trends and competitors.
Requirements:
- 6+ months of experience in sales or customer service preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A passion for learning and growing in the sales field.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
