Hedging Consultant

Job Description

Chatham Financial is seeking a Hedging Consultant to join its Real Estate Private Equity team. This role is based in either the New York or Kennett Square office. The consultant will provide strategic advice to real estate private equity managers, develop a deep understanding of derivative products and markets, and gain hands-on experience in an apprenticeship-style setting.

• Providing strategic advice to real estate private equity managers
• Becoming familiar with pricing models and generate indications for clients and prospects
• Preparing client analyses
• Reading, interpreting, and analyzing loan documents
• Preparing and reviewing transaction documents for legal and regulatory compliance
• Assisting with client and market research, as well as prepare client deliverables
• Executing trades on behalf of clients
• Building rapport and, together with other Chatham teams, developing relationships with clients to identify new hedging as well as non-hedging opportunities

• A bachelor’s degree and approximately 3-7 years of relevant industry experience in finance, valuation, consulting, or accounting
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate raw data into practical information
• Proven drive, intellectual curiosity, and desire to grow personally and professionally
