Production Planner II

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Production Planner II to join their Supply Chain team in Long Beach, CA. This role is crucial for managing work orders and ensuring smooth production operations. The Production Planner will collaborate with various departments, including Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance, to maintain the production schedule, manage lead times, and address any build blockers.Role involves:

• Supply and fulfillment planning within MRP for Production work orders.
• Releasing work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory.
• Creating visibility of material position through reports.
• Supporting prioritization and expediting subassemblies.
• Ensuring part master data accuracy within MRP.
• Understanding material demand and configuration accuracy.
• Working in a cross-functional team environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Proven ability to conduct clear build reviews and expedite materials.
• Knowledge of Production Planning fundamentals.
• Proficiency in MRP systems and MS Office.
