Temporary Manager in Training - Memorial City

Lush North America is seeking a Temporary Manager in Training for their Memorial City location in Houston, Texas. This role is a 6/23/2025 - 11/9/2025 contract position.

The Manager in Training will support the Store Manager in all business areas, acting as second-in-command. They will ensure a strong customer experience, staff experience, and shop operational excellence, while also exceeding sales goals. The ideal candidate will bring Lush’s Leadership Practices into all interactions.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure an inclusive customer experience.
• Educating customers and staff on brand values and ethical initiatives.
• Increasing product knowledge and making informed recommendations.
• Demonstrating business acumen and understanding of metrics and reports.
• Supporting the team on the sales floor and motivating them to meet sales goals.
• Owning personal development and supporting the growth of the team.
• Ensuring the team is inspired, motivated, and building strong relationships.
• Supporting staffing efforts through recruitment, hiring, and succession planning.
• Collaborating on plans to improve staff engagement, retention, and DEIB practices.
• Supporting the manager in maintaining shop compliance and practicing company standards.
• Supporting the training of the inventory team and managing product ordering.
• Supporting the team in maintaining a clean and visually appealing work environment.
• Ensuring proper scheduling, time and attendance recording, and staff wellbeing.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of managing or supervising in a retail environment
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
• Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
