Lead Product Manager, Payments & Fraud Prevention

Job Description

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Lead Product Manager, Payments & Fraud Prevention to join their Interactive Product Management team. This role focuses on managing and innovating product initiatives related to payments and fraud prevention within ESPN BET and theScore BET. The Lead Product Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring secure and scalable transaction experiences while proactively identifying and stopping fraud.

Responsibilities include:

• Discovering and defining product solutions to reduce fraud and optimize payment success rates.
• Defining and reporting on KPIs related to payment conversion, fraud rates, and cost of risk.
• Collaborating with compliance, risk, legal, and finance teams to ensure systems meet regulatory requirements.
• Leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights to guide data-informed prioritization.
• Partnering with operations and customer support teams to improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Maintaining transparency and accountability across stakeholders.
• Fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Monitoring emerging threats and the competitive landscape.
• Mentoring team members and driving operational excellence.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years in a people leadership role.
• Deep experience building and scaling payments infrastructure and/or fraud detection systems.
• Experience working on high-volume, consumer-facing platforms with real-time risk and financial exposure.
• Experience in sports betting, online gaming, or highly regulated financial services is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with KYC, AML, PCI compliance, and fraud prevention methodologies is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to connect product strategy with business objectives.
• Strong analytical mindset and communication skills.
