Senior Backend Engineer - Trade

Job Description

BitGo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Engineering Team in India. This role involves building new features and applications for BitGo's enterprise clients and being part of the founding team of BitGo's India presence. The Senior Backend Engineer will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and security experts.Role involves:

• Designing and building APIs, libraries, and services for financial services.
• Owning functionality and scalability features from inception to deployment.
• Exposing and documenting functionality to the UI and third-party developers.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure consistency.
• Providing mentorship to peers.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of back-end, server-side software development experience.
• Experience with functional programming.
• Experience developing or supporting financial accounting systems.
• Familiarity with digital asset trading, lending, and/or wallets.
• Strong experience with server-side languages like TypeScript/Node.JS.
• Strong experience with SQL databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design.
• Experience with unit and functional testing and debugging.
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Ability to work independently.
• Comfortable with inclusion in on-call rotations for system support.
