Job Description
Darktrace is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join its rapidly expanding R&D team in Cambridge. Darktrace is a global leader in cyber security AI, delivering complete AI-powered solutions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's ability to stop in-progress cyber-attacks through proprietary software and third-party integrations.
Role Involves:
- Working daily with core software modules written in C++.
- Working within a small team on specific tasks.
- Working independently on new ideas.
- Prioritizing work to fit into wider progress.
Requirements:
- Solution-focused mindset with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrable ability to program using C++.
- Understanding of writing code in a production environment.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, and containers.
- Networking and domain knowledge.
- Comfortable working autonomously and cooperatively.
- Knowledge or interest in cyber-security/malware forensics (desirable).
- Experience with statistical analysis of static or dynamic systems (desirable).
- Knowledge of cloud computing environments (beneficial).
