Senior macOS C++ Software Engineer

Job Description

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, is seeking a Senior macOS C++ Software Engineer to join its R&D team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and improvement of products that drive the company's rapid growth. This role focuses on creating software for deployment on customer devices, enhancing Darktrace's security coverage outside corporate networks. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.Responsibilities:

• Contributing to rapid prototyping of new and innovative ideas.
• Improving core software modules written in C++.
• Working with various component technologies and applications (e.g., content filters).

Requirements:

• Solution-focused mindset with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in C++ and Swift programming.
• Understanding of writing code in a production environment.
• Experience with writing and deploying software on macOS devices.
• Experience as a senior member of a small team.
• Experience with macOS system extensions.
• Understanding of Endpoint Detection Systems.
