Corporate Controller

Job Description

Alarm.com is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead their Accounting Operations team. This role is based in Tysons Corner, VA, and requires a hands-on leader with a strong in-office presence.He/She will report directly to the SVP of Finance and work collaboratively with cross-functional executives and finance leaders, including the CFO.Role involves:

• Leading the monthly close process across operating companies.
• Partnering with Finance Transformation and Procurement teams to enhance accounting systems and processes.
• Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls.
• Collaborating with Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting teams.
• Overseeing intercompany balance reconciliations.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the accounting team.
• Building and nurturing trusted partnerships with business leaders.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Active CPA certification.
• Extensive experience with multiple ERP systems.
• Proven track record implementing ERP-adjacent systems.
• Strong command of GAAP, technical accounting, and financial reporting standards.
• Expert knowledge of accounting and finance.
• Advanced strategic thinking skills.
