SurveyMonkey is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their Authoring Team. This role focuses on innovating the survey-taking experience, enhancing customer experience through modern interaction and visually appealing design. The Senior Product Designer will translate complex customer needs into intuitive experiences, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Research teams.SurveyMonkey is looking for someone who can shape design strategy, mentor junior designers, and promote a user-centric culture. The ideal candidate will blend user empathy with data-driven decision-making, using expertise in interaction and visual design to influence roadmaps and ensure design consistency.
Responsibilities: - Lead the full product design lifecycle for the survey taker experience.
- Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative user research.
- Develop and maintain components in the design system.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define requirements and align on success metrics.
- Partner with Engineering to validate feasibility and ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
- Mentor and provide feedback to junior designers.
- Advocate for best practices in UX, accessibility, and inclusive design.
- Present design concepts and user flows to stakeholders.
- Analyze post-launch performance data to identify opportunities for iteration.
- Help shape design team processes and documentation.
Requirements: - 8+ years of professional product design experience, preferably in a SaaS or B2B environment.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process.
- Expertise in Figma (or equivalent tools).
- Proficient in conducting and synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Deep understanding of interaction design principles, visual design, motion design, and information architecture.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring and coaching designers.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design methodologies.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
