Beast Industries is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be the foundational technical architect of a new platform poised to reshape the creator ecosystem. This role involves shaping the technology, culture, and product trajectory from day one, guiding the V1 platform through its launch, and spearheading its evolution into a scalable system.He will collaborate with leadership to translate product goals into a technical roadmap and make critical build vs. buy decisions. The ideal candidate will spend 60-70% of their time in the code, architecting backend systems and contributing to system components. He will also recruit, onboard, and mentor an agile team of engineers, fostering a high-ownership, rapid-learning culture. He will define best practices for software development, ensure production readiness, and integrate AI-powered features.What This Role Involves:

• Driving the architectural evolution of the V1 platform.
• Collaborating with leadership to create a technical roadmap.
• Architecting and building resilient backend systems and APIs.
• Recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Defining and embedding best practices for software development.
• Partnering with AI/ML talent to integrate intelligent features.
• Ensuring rock-solid production readiness and defining SLOs/SLAs.

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in modern backend development (Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript).
• Strong proficiency with frontend technologies (React, Next.js preferred).
• Solid experience with database design and management (MongoDB essential).
• Production-grade mastery of AWS services.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform/CDK) is a significant advantage.
