General Counsel

Dialogue is seeking a General Counsel to play a vital role in advancing the company’s top priorities. Reporting jointly to the VP & Associate General Counsel at Sun Life and the CFO at Dialogue, the General Counsel will be a key member of Dialogue’s leadership team, working closely with legal, compliance, privacy, risk, and other enabling functions at Sun Life.

The General Counsel will provide sound legal advice to the executive team, support corporate governance matters, manage the Dialogue Legal team, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.

What this role involves:

• Providing legal advice on strategic matters.
• Supporting corporate governance.
• Managing and developing the Dialogue Legal team.
• Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional experience in industry and at a law firm.
• Excellent judgment and ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) and bar membership.
• Experience within a public company is an asset.
• Expertise in commercial contracts, privacy, governance, and employment law.
• Strong communication skills in French & English.
• Experience in healthcare regulatory and/or technology space is a plus.
