Job Description
Razorpay is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow its engineering team. This role is based in Bangalore and offers a hybrid work environment. The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for the technical strategy and roadmap of their group, ensuring alignment with the company's goals. They will also be responsible for attracting and hiring top engineering talent, implementing effective engineering processes, and mentoring the professional development of their direct reports.

Role involves:
  • Attracting and hiring top-notch Engineering talent.
  • Defining and executing the group's technical strategy and roadmap.
  • Driving change and motivating engineers to develop simple solutions.
  • Implementing effective engineering processes.
  • Partnering with tech leads and architects in problem-solving.
  • Mentoring the professional development of direct reports.
  • Influencing a culture of engineering craftsmanship and excellence.
  • Initiating cross-functional collaborations.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of total experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in very large-scale applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in people management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with distributed systems handling large amounts of data.
  • Excellent coding skills in PHP/Python/C++/Java.
  • Good understanding of Web Technologies.
  • Good understanding of any RDBMS and/or messaging.
