Senior Engineering Manager

Job Description

Razorpay is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and manage engineering teams. The Senior Engineering Manager will work on multiple projects, build and manage teams, and formulate and execute strategies. This role requires considerable engineering management experience and proven leadership skills.Responsibilities include:

• Attracting and hiring top engineering talent.
• Developing the group's technical strategy and roadmap.
• Driving change and motivating engineers.
• Implementing effective engineering processes.
• Partnering with tech leads and architects in problem-solving.
• Mentoring the professional development of direct reports.
• Giving engineers the tools, confidence, and motivation to make decisions independently.
• Influencing a culture of engineering craftsmanship and excellence.
• Initiating cross-functional collaborations.
• Ensuring the team understands Razorpay's goals.

Qualifications include:

• 10+ years of total experience.
• 6+ years of experience in very large-scale applications.
• 3+ years of experience in people management.
• Strong problem-solving skills, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with distributed systems handling large amounts of data.
• Excellent coding skills in PHP/Python/C++/Java.
• Good understanding of Web Technologies, RDBMS, and messaging.
