Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Security Officer to protect its people, facilities, infrastructure, and innovations in New Zealand. The role involves ensuring the security of Rocket Lab's assets, including people, property, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, dedicated, and able to self-manage. While a background in security is not essential, the candidate should be comfortable with technology and interacting with new people.Here's a breakdown of what the role involves:
- Ensuring the security of Rocket Lab's New Zealand assets.
- Monitoring and responding to CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- Patrolling secure facilities and controlling access to restricted areas.
- Issuing and managing staff IDs, visitor passes, access fobs, and secure device protocols.
- Assisting with emergency response, safety protocols, and incident reporting.
- Maintaining and applying Standard Operating Procedures.
- Rotating through monitoring, patrolling, escorting, and emergency readiness tasks.
Rocket Lab requires candidates to have:
- Proven team player with conflict resolution skills
- Confident using digital tools (Microsoft Suite, web apps)
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
- Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
