Job Description
Warby Parker is seeking a part-time Licensed Optician to join their team in Miami, FL. The Licensed Optician will play a vital role in helping customers with their eyewear needs, providing exceptional service and expertise. This role involves working directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs, taking measurements, adjusting and fitting eyewear, and ensuring accuracy in all details. The Optician will also explain prescription terminology and product offerings, collaborate with the team to improve sales and customer service practices, and represent the Warby Parker brand.
What this role involves:
- Working directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs
- Taking and recording measurements, adjusting and fitting eyewear
- Checking that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
- Explaining prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
- Helping customers choose the best frames and lenses
Requirements:
- Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states)
- Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries
- Clear, effective, and professional communicator
- Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
- Energetic, positive team player
- Detail-oriented and capable of juggling responsibilities
- Open-minded and constantly learning
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
