Job Description
Betsson Group, a leading iGaming company, is seeking a Platform DevOps Engineer to join their Product Development team in Malta. The successful candidate will be involved in modernizing web and globally distributed applications, working with cutting-edge technology to enable the company's cloud journey. The Platform Core team manages Infrastructure as Code for the Core Platform Layer, providing a distributed runtime platform for business applications, APIs, and websites. This role involves continuously improving and developing platforms based on business needs, as well as analyzing and solving issues related to efficiency, performance, and scale.Role involves:
- Managing Infrastructure as Code for parts of our Core Platform Layer
- Building Infrastructure Platforms as self-service to our developers
- Continuously improve and develop our platforms based on business needs
- Analyse, diagnose and solve issues of efficiency performance and scale
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters
- Strong knowledge and experience of managing Kafka infrastructure in a geo-distributed setup
- Managing Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience working with cloud providers, with AWS as preference
- Experience in building scalable and distributed infrastructure
- Experience in using versioned source control to manage code changes
- Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Prometheus/Grafana
- Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Powershell or similar
- Experience in using and managing Linux distributions
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL and DevOps principles
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Required to be on an On-call support schedule
