Job Description
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Store Publishing Operations & Commerce (SPOC) team, supporting PlayStation's digital store. This role involves developing insights, designing experiments, and enhancing risk modeling strategies in collaboration with finance, payments, and security teams. The Senior Data Scientist will contribute to safeguarding digital transactions and optimizing player experiences. PlayStation is looking for someone passionate about large-scale machine learning and real-time risk mitigation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine fraud and risk modeling strategies.
  • Contribute to innovation in ML for fraud detection and anomaly detection.
  • Design and implement A/B tests.
  • Apply causal inference techniques.
  • Analyze and optimize key business metrics.
  • Enhance experimentation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Requirements:
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, ML, and fraud/risk analytics.
  • Strong expertise in causal inference, anomaly detection, and supervised/unsupervised learning.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
