Job Description
SurePay is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the highest standards of software quality and performance. The QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the reliability of SurePay's cutting-edge product. Working in an Agile, multidisciplinary team alongside talented developers and DevOps engineers, the candidate will be deeply involved in both functional and non-functional testing, collaborating on a platform built with Java and Kotlin and hosted on AWS.

Role involves:
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance strategy and testing.
  • Drawing up the quality requirements and technical specifications documentation.
  • Testing whether the products and features meet requirements.
  • Identifying defects and providing feedback to the development team.
  • Coming up with targeted solutions.
  • Leading the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and test architecture enhancements.
  • Conducting API testing using Java/Kotlin.
  • Overseeing performance testing with tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, or Gatling.
  • Mentoring junior team members and acting as the QA point of contact for business stakeholders and customers.
  • Collaborating closely with the DevOps team in AWS services and ensuring proper CI/CD pipeline configurations.
  • Taking a proactive role in client-facing interactions, resolving issues and ensuring a seamless experience.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of QA experience, with a strong grasp of testing processes across the software lifecycle and test architecture design, automation solutions and principles.
  • Proven ability to automate tests for REST APIs using Java/Kotlin.
  • Expertise in AWS services and cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement in testing practices.
