Area Sales Director - Enterprise (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking an Area Sales Director - Enterprise to lead their EMEA Sales team. This role involves managing a team of Enterprise Account Executives, hiring and developing talent, and strategically increasing sales presence throughout EMEA.Contentful is looking for someone with a strong enterprise software sales background to support the team in complex procurements and go-to-market initiatives, serving as a senior stakeholder for customers.Role involves:

• Developing and implementing recruitment strategies
• Contributing to regional strategy with metrics and market research
• Creating processes and setting best practices for go-to-market initiatives
• Serving as a senior stakeholder in customer engagements
• Mentoring and coaching team members
• Conducting weekly forecasts and overseeing sales development goals
• Collaborating cross-functionally with various departments

Requirements:

• 5+ years of management experience in a sales team
• 3+ years of direct sales experience, preferably in technical SaaS
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in at least one European language (German, Swedish, French, Spanish, etc.)
• Experience growing and scaling a high-performing sales team
• Data-driven with an analytical approach
• Effective and empathetic communicator
• Confident leader with executive customer exposure
• Ability to analyze data and present information
• Familiarity with the UKI market
• Willingness to travel (up to 40%)
• Experience with Salesforce and standard office suites
