Guidepost Montessori at Deerfield is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to foster growth and independence in a mixed-age toddler class. The Lead Guide will prepare an environment that fosters independence and captivates a child’s interest. They will provide personalized support, working with children individually and in small groups, demonstrating activities, and using precise language to enhance understanding.Role involves:

• Observing each child to meet their needs.
• Preparing an orderly environment.
• Cultivating independence and self-confidence.
• Providing lessons in practical life skills, language, and grace and courtesy.
• Forming personal connections and fostering a respectful community.
• Communicating with parents.

An ideal candidate:

• Is interested in Montessori training or has a Montessori diploma.
• Has experience working with children ages 0-3.
• Is familiar with child-led philosophies or open to learning more.
• Has Early Childhood Education credits.
• Has earned a Bachelor’s Degree.
