Job Description
Thumbtack is seeking a Manager of Enablement Design to lead a team of instructional designers and a multimedia producer. This role involves building high-impact learning programs that drive performance and support key business priorities. The Manager will translate complex needs into scalable, engaging learning experiences for frontline teams. They will also bring a strategic lens to enablement, introducing fresh ideas and leveraging emerging technologies.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of instructional designers and a multimedia producer.
  • Design scalable, high-impact learning programs for new hire onboarding and continuous learning.
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive enablement strategy and align on goals.
  • Streamline systems and processes to improve content management and team efficiency.
  • Innovate with learning technology, including AI, to enhance content design and learner engagement.
  • Measure program effectiveness and continuously improve learning outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing instructional design, L&D, or enablement teams.
  • Proven ability to create effective learning solutions based on adult learning theory.
  • Technical fluency with learning tech stacks and content authoring tools.
  • Strategic and operational mindset with the ability to set vision and drive execution.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional skills.
  • Comfort with change and ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
