Job Description
Thumbtack is seeking a Manager of Enablement Design to lead a team of instructional designers and a multimedia producer. This role involves building high-impact learning programs that drive performance and support key business priorities. The Manager will translate complex needs into scalable, engaging learning experiences for frontline teams. They will also introduce fresh ideas, streamline processes, and leverage emerging technologies to improve learning design, delivery, and measurement.

What this role involves:
  • Leading and inspiring a high-performing team of instructional designers and a multimedia producer.
  • Designing scalable, high-impact learning programs for new hire onboarding and continuous learning.
  • Partnering cross-functionally to drive enablement strategy and align on goals.
  • Streamlining systems and processes to improve content management and team efficiency.
  • Innovating with learning technology, including AI, to enhance content design and learner engagement.
  • Defining and tracking success metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing instructional design, L&D, or enablement teams.
  • Proven ability to create effective learning solutions based on adult learning theory.
  • Hands-on experience with learning tech stacks and content authoring tools.
  • Strategic and operational mindset with the ability to set vision and drive execution.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional skills.
  • Comfort with change and ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
