Job Description
Tenable is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities and strategic sourcing processes. The Procurement Specialist will handle the purchasing of hardware, software, and services for Tenable. This role involves working with external vendor partners and collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify efficient, cost-effective solutions and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

Role involves:
  • Managing all assigned procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, contracting, vendor onboarding, etc.
  • Delivering cost savings by negotiating cost and contract terms.
  • Building relationships within Tenable including IT, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Information Security.
  • Building effective relationships with vendors.
  • Working on a broad range of categories such as engineering, marketing, sales, finance, information security, etc.

Requirements:
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to build collaborative stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to scale from tactical purchase order creation to leading strategic negotiations.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Being fair and ethical and being able to communicate with clarity and set expectations.
  • 2-3 years of prior experience in Procurement, Vendor Management, or Customer Support.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
