Job Description
Isar Aerospace is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to join their team in Ottobrunn, Bavaria, Germany. This role involves managing accounts payable processes within SAP S4/HANA and ensuring compliance with German and European VAT regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounts payable, strong SAP skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Verifying, coding, and posting incoming invoices and transactions with special general ledger indicators in SAP S4/HANA (Workflow).
  • Reconciling accounts and clarifying differences between general and sub-ledgers.
  • Properly recording bank transactions.
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns.
  • Verifying and recording vendor invoices in fixed asset accounting.
  • Performing payment runs in SAP.
  • Monitoring and clarifying open item lists for vendors.
  • Reviewing and processing credit card statements in compliance with internal guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in accounts payable and confident handling of German and European VAT law.
  • Confident handling of vendor transactions with order references (e.g., SAP MM module).
  • Expert knowledge in SAP S4/HANA.
  • High affinity for tasks in accounts payable and related tax topics.
  • High level of responsibility, hands-on mentality, and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Fluent German and English skills.
