Senior Production Engineer

Bottomline is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join their team in a hybrid work environment in Portsmouth, NH. The Senior Production Engineer will be responsible for operating and enhancing the delivery pipeline for production banking platforms, ensuring environments are observable, scalable, and highly available. This role involves using production engineering skills and infrastructure knowledge to ensure smooth service operation and excellent customer experience.Bottomline is a global leader in business payments and cash management, with over 35 years of experience and moving more than $16 trillion in payments annually.What this role involves:

• Leading and assigning projects and helping junior members.
• Participating in an on-call rotation to support production systems and handle production alerts.
• Delegating and teaching automation techniques.
• Troubleshooting incidents and requests, researching rare issues, and mentoring the team.
• Contributing to the design and continuous improvement of team processes.
• Identifying and managing risks, driving risk reduction efforts.
• Collaborating with scrum team members to deliver new features.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in supporting production systems.
• Deep ability to understand logs and research rare issues.
• Experience with scripting, Linux, Apache Tomcat, MQ Strategy, Puppet, AWS.
• Experience providing orchestration, automation, and troubleshooting complex integrations in a production environment.
• Ability to manage complex deliverables and write/understand complex code in multiple programming languages.
