Job Description

Nearform is seeking a Technical Director - Data/AI to provide technical leadership and strategic direction. The Technical Director will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping shape their technical vision and strategy, while also guiding Nearform teams to deliver outstanding solutions. This role is centered on leading by example, influencing technical direction, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Role involves:

• Setting and communicating a clear technical vision for projects.
• Providing technical leadership on architecture and software development best practices.
• Serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
• Ensuring projects are staffed with the right talent.
• Leading client discovery workshops.
• Overseeing technical execution and ensuring quality.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with data engineering, cloud technologies, and databases.
• Experience leading pre-sales, discovery, and solution design discussions.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Deep expertise in software architecture.
• A consultative mindset.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading and mentoring senior data engineering teams.
• A passion for continuous learning and innovation.
