Strategic Finance Manager

Job Description

Airspace, a tech-enabled freight forwarder, is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join their FP&A team. This role is crucial for understanding the company's financial health, enabling collaboration, and driving strategic direction. The Strategic Finance Manager will report to the CFO & President and will be responsible for setting the company's budget and financial targets, managing resources, building executive and board-level reporting, and analyzing the company’s initiatives and financial progress. This role requires collaboration with the CEO, executive team, and head of global accounting.Responsibilities:

• Partner with department heads on resource planning and value optimization.
• Understand the business's inner workings and provide insights.
• Build and maintain innovative tooling for financial monitoring.
• Manage cross-functional projects with department heads and the Finance team.
• Proactively identify opportunities for value creation.

Requirements:

• 4-6+ years in investing, consulting, investment banking, or FP&A at a high-growth business.
• Experience with Microsoft Office / Google Suite and data analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel and experience with Looker and SQL (a plus).
• Significant experience with 3-statement modeling.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience building and presenting information to senior management.
• Exemplary leadership, teamwork, and project management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
• Proactive and continuous learner.
