Full Stack Engineer

A company is looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer to focus on backend development for Fiat and Stablecoin payment rails. The ideal candidate should have experience with financial systems and crypto. The company values technical proficiency, strong communication, ownership, and the ability to work independently. While the role is primarily backend-focused, frontend experience is a plus.

What this role involves:

• Driving backend feature development for Fiat and Stablecoin payment rails.
• Collaborating with product managers to understand and iterate on requirements.
• Applying software engineering best practices to create clean, bug-free, and maintainable code.
• Ensuring system availability and reliability through robust monitoring and maintenance.
• Providing feedback on architecture and assisting in data-driven decision-making.
• Designing scalable systems.
• Participating in code implementation, reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
• Optimising system performance and implementing security best practices for financial transactions.
• Collaborating with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration of backend services.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in languages like Ruby on Rails or Golang.
• Expertise in SQL and database design.
• Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of system design principles and experience with scalable systems.
• Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and version control (Git).
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and financial technology is a plus.
• Understanding of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, or JavaScript) is a plus.
