Job Description
Elastic is seeking a Sector Director to lead their Central Government Pod as part of the broader Public Sector team. This role is responsible for driving the adoption of Elastic’s search-powered solutions across key UK government departments and agencies. The Sector Director will define and execute the sector strategy, lead transformational pursuits, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across Whitehall.
Role involves:
- Owning the sector strategy and aligning with departmental priorities.
- Leading major pursuits and building pursuit teams.
- Championing customer value across search, observability, and security use cases.
- Representing Elastic’s open-source spirit and communicating the value of commercial offerings.
- Inspiring trust and credibility with senior government leaders.
- Scaling the ecosystem through partnerships and internal alignment.
- Developing the team of Account Executives and collaborators.
Requirements:
- Deep domain knowledge of the UK Central Government.
- Credibility and established relationships within the sector.
- Proven success leading complex, high-value pursuits in enterprise or public sector technology environments.
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS, cloud, or open-source business.
- A passion for helping public sector customers deliver meaningful outcomes through technology.
- Strong coaching ability and the vision to scale teams and capabilities.
