Part-time Newsdesk Assistant

Job Description

The NFL Media Group is seeking a Part-time Newsdesk Assistant to support the Assignment Desk in newsgathering for on-air and digital content. This role requires strong football knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom.

Responsibilities:
• Following instructions and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Multi-tasking and prioritizing daily assignments.
• Demonstrating strong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events.
• Utilizing social media as a source of breaking news.
• Booking feeds and file transfers.
• Working flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts.

Requirements:
• College degree.
• 1+ years of experience in a newsroom environment.
• Strong football knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Familiarity with social media.
• Flexibility with work schedule.
